Accomplishments
Listed here, are examples of how the New Majority has
been actively involved in federal, state, and local
politics.
Party Building
Partnering with local Republican clubs and elected
officials the New Majority has contributed hundreds
of thousands of dollars toward voter registration
in target areas throughout the state. Many of our members
are active in the California Republican Party, insuring
the organization is run professionally and dollars
are spent efficiently.
Statewide Elected Officials & Measures
Not only, is the New Majority focused on current statewide
politics but they are also looking towards the future.
The New Majority was one of the founding members of
CRAFT or California
Republicans Aligned for Tomorrow, an organization dedicated
to identifying, developing, and supporting strong Republican
candidates for future elections. Recently, the New
Majority and its members contributed and raised more
than $10 million for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's campaign and ballot initiatives. In 2008, the New Majority partnered with organizations across
California to defeat Proposition 93.
Local Elections
New Majority Los Angeles, San Diego and Inland Empire
have taken
an active role in local elections. The Los Angeles
Chapter has taken interest in everything from local
school board elections to city council races. Most
recently, they assisted in electing Tamar Galatzan
to the Los Angeles Unified School Board and Bernard
Parks to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
In San Diego, they have assisted
in numerous local campaigns, including; Judge Jan Goldsmith for City Attorney, and local propositions
on the June 2008 Primary ballot. Finally, the Inland Empire Chapter
has worked hard to increase voter registration in Riverside
and San Bernadino Counties.
Chapter Accomplishments

Inland Empire:
- Contributed $10,000 to assist in voter registration drives in Riverside
and San Bernardino Counties
- Contributed the maximum amount to Assembly candidates
Gay Jeandron, and Bonnie Garcia
Los Angeles
- Conducted aggressive independent expenditure campaign
to help elect a pro-business majority on the Los Angeles County Board of
Supervisors
- New Majority was among the largest donors to helping
defeat Proposition 93, the Term Limits Extension initiative
- Many of the Los Angeles members have received Board
and Commission Appointments at the Federal, State and
Local levels of government
Orange County
- Contributed over $100,000 to Legislative candidates for the 2008 General Election
- With the assistance of their fellow NM Chapter, they
contributed over $250,000 toward Proposition 11, the Redistricting reform initiative
San Diego
- NMSD members Kelly Burt and Kim Fletcher appointed
to Del Mar Fair Board
- NMSD member Mark McMillin appointed to CA Off Highway
