Local
The New Majority chapters have played significant roles
in local elections. Often times, the outcomes of local
elections have a greater impact on a community than
a statewide or national race. Therefore each chapter
is actively involved in local politics affairs.
In an effort to help the Republican candidates running
for non-partisan races in San Diego, the New Majority contributed
$30,000 to the San Diego Republican Party to help with its
member communications and get out the vote efforts.
San Diego supported Jan Goldsmith for City Attorney
in the 2008 General Election. Jan won his election with 32% of the vote and now serves as San Diego's City Attorney.
